3. What Anchor40 provides
Anchor40 provides Christian books, faith-based teaching material, ministry information, community content, speaking information and, where clearly offered, courses, events or related resources. Product format, availability, price and any additional conditions will be shown on the relevant page.
Anchor40 courses are non-accredited Christian biblical teaching and discipleship programmes intended for personal spiritual growth. They do not carry SAQA or NQF credits, provide an academic qualification, or lead to professional registration or licensing.
4. Faith-based content and professional-care disclaimer
Anchor40 content is provided for Christian teaching, encouragement, discipleship and general educational purposes. It is not medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice or treatment.
Prayer, ministry, books, courses and community discussions are not substitutes for professional care. You should not delay seeking qualified care, stop prescribed treatment or make a serious health, legal or financial decision solely because of Website content. No particular spiritual, emotional, health, financial or other outcome is guaranteed.
5. Lawful and respectful use
You agree to use the Website lawfully and respectfully. You may not disrupt the Website, gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, misuse another person’s information, infringe intellectual-property rights, commit fraud, harass another person or use the Website for any unlawful purpose.
A person under 18 should make a purchase only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
6. Product information and availability
We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Images may differ slightly because of screen settings, printing variations, updated cover designs or packaging. Minor differences that do not materially affect the product are not defects.
Products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after payment, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative, delayed fulfilment or a refund.
7. Prices, taxes and delivery charges
Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the Website. Applicable taxes and delivery charges will be displayed before the customer confirms the order.
We may change prices for future orders. A change will not affect an order already accepted and paid, except where there is an obvious error and the customer is given a lawful opportunity to cancel.
8. Orders and acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when Anchor40 confirms acceptance or dispatch, whichever occurs first. We may decline or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, including suspected fraud, payment failure, stock unavailability, an obvious pricing error, delivery limitations or legal restrictions.
You must provide accurate billing, delivery and contact information. Check your order carefully before payment and contact info@anchor40.com promptly if you notice an error.
9. Payment
Payments are processed through the payment methods and third-party providers shown at checkout, which may include PayFast. Those providers process transactions under their own terms and privacy notices.
Anchor40 does not intentionally collect or store complete card details where they are entered directly into a payment provider’s secure system. We may receive payment status, transaction references and limited payment-related information required to fulfil orders, prevent fraud and process refunds.
10. Shipping and delivery
The Shipping Policy forms part of these Terms. Available delivery options, charges and estimated timeframes will be shown at checkout or communicated before the order is finalised.
Delivery estimates are not guarantees. We will take reasonable steps to deliver within the agreed period or, where no period has been agreed, within a reasonable time.
You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and ensure that someone can receive the parcel. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, failed delivery or an uncollected parcel may be charged where permitted by law and where the customer was responsible for the problem.
Risk in physical goods remains with Anchor40 until delivery to and acceptance by the customer or the customer’s authorised recipient, subject to applicable law.
11. Returns, refunds and defective goods
The Refund and Returns Policy forms part of these Terms. For eligible online purchases of physical goods, a customer may cancel without giving a reason by notifying Anchor40 within seven calendar days after receiving the goods. The customer is responsible only for the direct cost of returning change-of-mind goods, as permitted by law.
Defective, unsafe, damaged or materially incorrect goods are handled separately. Statutory rights, including applicable rights during the six-month implied warranty period, are not limited by the seven-day change-of-mind period.
12. Courses, digital products, community access and events
Where Anchor40 offers a digital product, course, membership, community access, speaking engagement or event, the relevant page may include additional terms covering access, scheduling, cancellation, participation, recordings and refunds. Those specific terms form part of the agreement for that offering.
Where digital content or a service begins immediately at your request, cancellation rights may be affected to the extent permitted by law. Any applicable restriction will be disclosed before payment.
Community participants must protect confidentiality, respect others and avoid sharing another person’s private story, prayer request or personal information without permission. Anchor40 may moderate or remove content and may suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of community rules.
13. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website’s text, branding, graphics, course content, videos, downloads, book excerpts and other original material are owned by or licensed to Anchor40 and are protected by intellectual-property law.
Purchased material is for personal, non-commercial use unless a separate licence says otherwise. You may not reproduce, distribute, upload, resell, alter, record, publicly teach from or commercially exploit substantial portions without written permission, except where the law allows.
14. Testimonials and personal stories
Testimonials and ministry stories reflect personal experiences and are not promises that every person will have the same experience or outcome. Stories may be anonymised or adapted to protect privacy and dignity without changing their essential meaning.
15. Third-party websites and services
The Website may link to or integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways, couriers, social platforms, community platforms or external websites. Anchor40 does not control their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Their own terms and notices apply.
16. Website availability and changes
We aim to keep the Website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may maintain, update, suspend or discontinue part of the Website where reasonably necessary.
17. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor40 is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Website or reliance on general faith-based content. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from gross negligence, intentional wrongdoing or mandatory consumer rights.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, Anchor40’s aggregate liability relating to a specific purchase will not exceed the amount actually paid for that purchase.
18. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
19. Complaints and disputes
Please send order, delivery, return or Website complaints to info@anchor40.com. We will try to resolve the matter fairly and within a reasonable time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be dealt with by a court or consumer body with lawful jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection process.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on the Website with its effective date. Changes apply prospectively unless the law requires otherwise.
